A day off – well mostly.
After two days at theme parks we decided that we would all be best for all of us to have a less structured day. So we spent time relaxing around the house. The girls played the Nintendo DS and we visited with Marcia while Martin worked out.
We had breakfast at Harry’s in downtown La Jolla with Marcia and Martin. Camryn ate 11 silver dollar pancakes!
We then did a couple other things around downtown. Of course the girls gravitated towards the books at Warwick’s.
Back at the house, we just relaxed, had lunch and did laundry. I wanted to find shoes for Hayden to wear to Tammi & Cliff’s wedding, so we went over to UTC. Marcia came along.
Found shoes at Stride Right. Also went to Nordstrom and got the girls a couple other things (it was late enough in the day that the crowds weren’t horrible!)
Picked up dinner for the girls and went back to Marcia & Martin’s. Martin picked up Chinese food for the adults.
Had really wanted to take the kids to the beach but the timing just didn’t seem to work. Gave the girls showers and then it was bedtime!
Shortly before I climbed into bed, Sam snapped this picture of my back – ouch!
That was the burn from Sea World. Selfishly, I’m glad we didn’t go anywhere that I needed to wear my backpack because it would have hurt!
